He Went in for a Dodge Challenger. He Left Through the Same Window.
A Cuyahoga Falls dealership break-in caused about $3,500 in damage. The car stayed put.

Someone broke into a car dealership to steal a Dodge Challenger, got inside the Challenger, and then left through the same broken window he’d used to get into the building.
The car stayed.
That is a remarkable amount of effort to wind up back outside on foot.
According to Falls Free Press’s summary of a Cuyahoga Falls police report, an unknown man broke into a dealership in the 1500 block of State Road at about 3 a.m. on October 16. The report says he used large bolt cutters and broke a large window, causing approximately $3,500 in damage.
Not exactly a quiet entrance. The window alone made sure of that.
He then entered a gray floor-model Challenger and searched inside it. What he was looking for, the blotter doesn’t say. Why he left without the car, it doesn’t say either. I’d love to know what happened between “inside the Challenger” and “back out the window,” but the report leaves that part alone.
So we’re left with the sequence: bring large bolt cutters, break into dealership, get into the car, search the car, climb back through the broken window. All that work, and the getaway vehicle was apparently just the getaway part.
The dealership manager wanted to pursue charges, and the blotter says police had leads. It does not report an arrest. A lead is not a caught suspect, no matter how tempting it is to give this story a neat ending.
There’s already an ending. The Challenger remained at the dealership. The window did not have as good a night.
